Five Must Have Products from Lush Cosmetics

Hello Readers!

So today I am bringing to you, in my opinion, my favorite products from Lush that I think everyone should own. Lush is a handmade cosmetics company that specializes in all natural, cruelty free, and vegan soaps, lotions, masks, and yes…even makeup. Each one of their products is only made from all natural and fresh ingredients that are environmentally conscious and do wonders for your body.  I  am personally a huge fan of their products and think that they are well worth the luxury.

5 Must Have’s From Lush Cosmetics:

1) Bath Bombs : $3.95USD – $6.45USD per Bath Bomb

L-R: Space Girl, Dragon's Egg, Twilight, and Sakura

L-R: Space Girl, Dragon’s Egg, Twilight, and Sakura

Lush pretty much began with the Bath Bomb; as this product quickly became the defining face of their company. The Bath Bombs begin with a base of baking soda to which various ingredients, essential oils, fragrance, and sometimes even glitter is added. When you drop the bomb into your tub, the product will begin to fizz, spin around, change color, and fill the air with a wonderful spa like fragrance. Each bath bomb has different qualities that range in fragrance, mood, and effect.  My favorite would probably be Dragon’s Egg as it is filled with different colors, glitter, and smells absolutely amazing with its citrus undertones.

Space Girl – $5.25USD

With blasts of sparkles and refreshing grapefruit oil, Space Girl is a Bath Bomb of astronomical proportions. You’ll be ready to explore the cosmos (bath time) in a trail of purple stardust. We put real popping candies into each one to add some pop to our signature fizz. Shaped like Saturn, the energizing scent of blackcurrant candies will make you hungry for your own space adventures as you soak away in the tub. It’s really out of this world.

Lush

Dragon’s Egg – $6.25USD

Unleash fire and bathe in a whirlpool of magnificently vibrant, sizzling color and a spectacular explosion of sights, sounds, and scents. Inhale the refreshing sherbet-y citrus scent of lemon and bergamot; you’ll feel like you’re up and away on the back of your own dragon. This mystical Bath Bomb fizzles, crackles, curls, and ends with a glitter explosion. Citrus oils are known for their invigorating effect on the mind, and Dragon’s Egg is no exception! Drop one of these into the bath for a serious wake-up call on groggy mornings, or before an evening out.

Lush

Twilight – $6.25USD

Recreate the magic of a starry night in your bath water with clouds of lavender and tonka absolute to fight the demons of insomnia and soothe your stressed out body and mind. Our most relaxing Bath Bomb yet, Twilight is our gentle, reassuring hug for the bath to transform you from worn out to warm and fuzzy. It changes color like the sky at dusk, from pinks to purples and darker still. Lay back in the comforting herbal waters to soak your troubles far, far away.

Lush

Sakura – $6.45USD

When the blossoms burst forth in spring, it’s a tradition to take a picnic and bottle of sake and enjoy the beauty. Noriko, one of our product inventors, hails from Japan and this beautiful Bath Bomb represents what it’s like to be in a park while the breeze blows through the blossoms in the trees. Instead of heading to the park, lay back in serene waters while the gorgeous scents of mimosa and jasmine envelop you to give you the joyful feeling of springtime. Sakura: simple, elegant, and enduringly beautiful bathing.

Lush

2) Lip Scrub – $9.95USD

As I mentioned in one of my tutorials, using a lip exfoliate is one of the best things you can do for your lips to keep them happy and healthy. This Bubblegum lip scrub from Lush is amazing! Made with only 2 key ingredients: fair trade sugar and jojoba oil, this lip scrub gently exfoliates and moisturizes your lips.  Plus since its all natural, once you’ve scrubbed, you can just lick it right off! They have a few other flavors including Mint Julips, and Popcorn!

3) Lush Fresh Face Mask –  $6.95USD

If you have a Lush retail store near you, definitely pick up one of their Fresh Face Masks . The masks are handmade in store on a daily basis with the finest essential oils, fresh fruits and veggies, deep cleansing herbs, and nutrient rich clays. There are approximately 9 different masks that each address a host of your skin care needs. My favorite is Catastrophe Cosmetic  which is a deep cleansing and antioxidant rich blueberry based mask. Its a mask that is formulated for sensitive skin using a blend of calamine, rose, and chamomile blue oil to soothe redness, irritation, and cleanse the skin without stripping it of any natural oils. Immediately after use I noticed my face felt so much softer, cleaner, and even looked brighter and more even in skin tone.

Some recommendations: If you have very dry skin, I would suggest Oatfix made with oats, mashed banana, and ground almonds to rid flaky skin and re-hydrate any dryness. For acne prone skin, control your breakouts with a blend of fresh grapes, garlic, and tea tree oil with the popular Cosmetic Warrior. Lastly for those of you with oily or blotchy skin, try Cupcake formulated with chocolate and spearmint oil.

4) Full of Grace Serum Bar – $14.95

This little bar is the end all and do all of moisturizers. Its made from a Murumuru Butter base which has an extremely low melting point allowing it to melt right in your hands. In this little bar is packed calming chamomile and antioxidant rich portobello mushroom extract to gently moisturize any skin type. You can use it on your face, hands, legs, or lips, really wherever you want! Because of its properties, its slightly difficult to use and carry with you. However, you can melt it down into an empty mint tin or container and voila!

5) Bubble Bars – $4.95USD – $10.95USD

L-R: The Comforter, and Sunny Side

Like the Bath Bombs, Lush’s Bubble Bars are another staple for a luxurious and pampered bath time. The Bubble Bars all begin with the same base, then to which coloring, and fragrance is added. To use them I suggest breaking it in half (that way you get 2 uses) and crumbling one half under the running water. Soon enough you will see tons, and I mean TONS of bubbles pop up making for the best bubble bath known to man-kind. My favorite would probably be Sunny Side as it has a wonderful citrus-y scent, and of course that glitter!

The Comforter – $10.95USD

When life is getting you down, crumble The Comforter under hot, running water for passionately purple water and creamy, comforting bubbles. This massive slice of vibrant fruitiness gives you the feeling of being enveloped in a warm hug and gently consoled by the friendly fruity aroma of a blackcurrant candy. It was created to bring a real sense of comfort to people, just like a real comforter would. Snuggle in, and stay undercover until you’re ready to face the world once again. Even better, each bar creates two baths of fruity comfort.

Lush

Sunny Side – $7.25USD

If you’ve had a day full of disappointment, pop one of these sparkly bubble bars into your bath. As you crumble it under the running water, you’ll start to feel immediately better. You just can’t help but smile when you see the shimmery golden waters it creates. Maybe it’s because citrus fruits only grow in warm, sunny places that their scents make us feel like smiling again. Sunny Side’s orange, tangerine and lemon help reverse the troubles of the day, however badly it started. It’ll turn your life Sunny Side up.

  1. I love LUSH. My brother’s girlfriend used to work there, and she would spoil the crap out of me with free products! Curly Wurly is one of my favorite products, EVER!!! –the only downside is that most of their shampoos have SLS. I had pink hair, so I couldn’t use sulfates. Honestly, I don’t even want to use sulfates on my natural colored hair! Lol

    • Ugh that sounds like it was awesome! I wanted to try their Big shampoo but idk about putting salt in my hair…I have really thin hair so I feel like it would dry it out super quick.

  2. I’m seriously obsessed with their popcorn lip scrub and their face masks. The brazen honey one is good too (just tingles a bit!).

  3. I am a huge Lush fan (as you probably already know)!!! My absolute favorite, can’t live without is Buffy. It exfoliates your skin but also moisturizers it while in the shower. Love reading your reviews!!
