I have found myself wearing a lot of lip products within the past week and when I was trying to think of what I would review for my weekly favorite, I was having a hard time deciding which color I wanted to do. Then it dawned on me that regardless of color or brand, I had been using this Bite Beauty Line and Define Lip Primer almost every day therefore earning its place in the spotlight.
As I mentioned in my previous review of the Bite Beauty Deconstructed Rose Lip Gloss Library, Bite is a fantastic company that only all natural ingredients to make high quality lip products. According to Sephora, the Bite Beauty Line and Define Lip Primer is the following:
The silky, weightless primer contains lauroyl lysine and silica to naturally nourish lips, retain long-term color, and prevent feathering. Resveratrol, jojoba oil, and argan oil condition and smooth, while the perfect amount of mint plumps for naturally sumptuous lips.
Unlike many other lip products on the market, this primer does not contain Parabens, Sulfates, Synthetic Fragrances, Synthetic Dyes, Petrochemicals, Phthalates, GMOs, or Triclosan.
I picked up this product during my Sephora VIB Spring Chic Week Haul and have been meaning to review it since it really is a great product. Like all other Bite products, the packaging is sleek and efficient. The primer is in a twist up pencil form that has a hidden sharpener on the opposite end of the product. When applied it feels stickier and more waxy than your average chapstick and has a light peppermint scent. Although it is formulated with peppermint oil it does not burn my lips or feel uncomfortable. Like my other favorite lip liner, Urban Decay’s Ozone, this Bite pencil goes on clear making it universally awesome to use with all my lipsticks.
I really really really love this product. It knocks every other lip primer I have used out of the park. It makes my lip tars last a few more hours longer than they would with the Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics primer would alone. I especially love that it has a built in sharpener as well. This makes it easier for me to sharpen it every few uses to get a perfect line without having to search for my pencil sharpener.
- Excellent formula
- Long lasting
- Cruelty Free
- Only available at Sephora.
- Not available in other colors: like seriously though if they had other shades of this I would probably buy those as well.
Bite Beauty Line and Define Lip Primer is available at Sephora for $22.00USD. Its packaging holds approximately .13oz of product which translates to approximately $169.23USD per ounce. For comparison purposes, Urban Decay’s 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencil in Ozone retails for $20.00USD and its packaging holds approximately .04oz of product translating to approximately $500.00USD per ounce. From the math you can see that the Bite Beauty Line and Define Primer has a much better value for a better product.
